Hello, wonderlandians. Today I am announcing that I’m going to be doing an end of the year read-a-then. It’s called the #startonyourshelfathon. It was created by a blog called The Quiet Pond, I found the this on a blog called The Book Mermaid Blog. So please go give these blog some love.
The idea behind this read-a-thon is to make more of a dent in all the books you have on you TRB lists, I think this I a great way for me personal to get through a lot of the audio books I have on my wishlist which acts as a TBR list and audible.
The quiet pond has a whole story of Castor the star collector, It is really cute, Just click on the first three words of this paragraph and it will take you to their post and you can read the story for yourself. They just of it is that for every book that you finish you are helping Castor collects moire stars. Thus meaning that you book are the stars. I have never seen a read-a-thin that has such detail well maybe one of the Harry Potter themed ones.
This is a great way to get start tackling you TBR list and have less book on in for the news year. You know so you will feel least guilty about all the books you are going to be buying with your Christmas money.
Thank you all for joining me here in our little part of wonderland. Please don’t for get to feed the unicorns on your way out.
Hello, wonderlandians! I am so excited for today. I am the featured blogger for years reread-a-thon 2018 I am so excited. When Murphy had announced that she wanted to organize a read-a-thon I knew I had to jump on it. Rereading books is not something that I typically get to do. So this week my main focus was to reread two books in two different formats. That’s what today is a topic is all about rereading old favs but in a new edition. So I have been throughout the week and reading or rather listening to Vampire Academy. That is my favorite serious and today I will be rereading Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. This is amazing and I love it so much.
So how is everybody going on through this read-a-thon? I hope everybody is doing amazing and rereading all of their favorite books. The great thing about today is that I am doing a giveaway. This giveaway is going to be going on for 24 hours. so this post went up 12 a.m. eastern standard time and the giveaway will go until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. And what is the awesome prize I am giving away a $25 Amazon gift card so you guys can get one or two books?
I did in my madness Monday kind of weave instructions on how you guys could enter this giveaway. I am going to tell you guys again what you need to do to enter this giveaway. Just leave a comment telling me what has been your best-reread experience. I am not going to be replying to any of these comments for the rest of the day. I will reply afterward. I will be picking the winner randomly and I will be needing an email address for the gift card. Reason being is because I’m doing an electronic gift card so it will be sent via email. Also if you are under the age of 18 please make sure that you do get parents permission as I don’t want to get anybody in trouble. Also, if you guys are not comfortable with leaving me your email address please leave me your Twitter handle, your Instagram name, or your blog so I can reach you through either DM or through your contact information on your blog. So that way it can be a little bit private if you want it to be.
I do know that things for me have been super hectic this week so that’s why I’m behind in my reading I am planning on turning the last day of the read-a-thon into a 24 hour readathon I have been vlogging a little bit of my experience with a 24-hour read-a-thon and that should be up on my YouTube page. I don’t post a lot but I think I’m going to start posting vlogs.
I also want to say that this Blog has hit a hundred and four followers. What?! That is insane to me and I want to say a big huge thank you to all of the Wonderland Ian’s out there that have supported this blog. We’ve grown so much in such a little amount of time. Our little part of Wonderland is growing every single day. The unicorns are throwing a party I am telling you the truth.

Please don’t forget to feed the unicorns on your way out they are celebrating our Milestone by giving free rides to everybody. And at a rare sighting, the mermaids have service than it is now Springtime. So mermaids and unicorns will be together for the next 6 months.
I am just coming back from my vacation and I have WiFi again. You guys have know idea how hard it was at the same time it was so incredible to unplug for a week. Really the only thing that sucked about it was I listen to ASMR and I couldn’t listen to it. It helps me sleep.

Hello, wonderlandians. Okay first off I just want to say that I am so sorry that there was not a post yesterday. My goal is to have a post-op for you every single day if not multiple. As you guys know I did the 24in 48-hour readathon. I have to say that it was a lot of fun and I did get about 6 hours and 44 minutes of reading. Now, this was all self-sabotage. I was going to stay up until 12am and read as much as I could before I fall asleep. Unfortunately, that didn’t end up happening and I ended up falling asleep before the time started and I slept until 11am the next day. so I already got 11 hours of sleep. I needed to wake up and unfortunately, I got sucked into Sabrina and the next thing I knew it was 4 in the afternoon and I hadn’t read a single book. I did, however, get to Red and done with it so I’m really happy about that got my book count out to 17 books this month alone.
I know for a fact that they’re going to be a lot more readathons this coming month and I’m signing up for a few of them. They are week-long readathon so I will have a lot more time to read in that week. I do have a couple of questions for you guys. I will be blogging my whole experience while doing the readathons that are coming up. Here is the question. Do you guys have an Instagram? if you do do you guys usually watch people’s insta stories? do you prefer Instagram or SnapChat? if I were to post a vlog to accompany the blog would you guys watch it? Because I did log the entire experience and I don’t know if that’s something that you guys would be interested in watching. I could always just link to the video itself and if you want to go watch it you can. I did keep an up-to-date on my Instagram on the stories and a few people watched it but I am interested in if you guys like Instagram insta stories.
So how the read-a-thon went the first day went okay I got two bucks done so I’m very happy with that accomplishment. I did get sidetracked by Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Sunday I went over to my boyfriend’s mom’s house because I was turning in some money for candy I was selling for my boyfriend’s brother. I ended up spending about 6 hours over there just hanging out and having fun with them. so my reading I only got maybe 2 hours of reading done that day but I didn’t time it. I have no regrets I love going over there and hang out with everybody. I was learning how to do cat’s cradle again.
so to conclude all of this I need to be way more hyperfocus when it comes to my redo fans. I need to set specific days to just sit down and read.
Hello, wonderlandians. There will probably not be a Free Friday this week. I am sorry about that. I am excited to announce that I am going to be doing the 24 in 48 hour read-a-thon this weekend. For this read-a-thon you try to read a total of 24 hours in two days. I have been binge watching vlogs to see what would be the best way to approach this. I have come up with fours ways I want to do this.
I am going to use a stop watch to make sure I am keeping track of the time. I will also be vlogging the whole experience. So if you guys don’t know I do have a BookTube channel where I do reading vlogs. Along with the vlogging I will be posting on my Insta-stories on Instagram. So if you don’t follow me there it is just wonderlandians. Hope you guys go over and check out my stories. I have been posting on there a lot recently. Then when it is all over I will make sure to do a blog post about it all. Of course I will link to my vlog.
How does this sound to you? Is this a read-a-thon you would do? Know of any other read-a-thons going on soon? Let me know.
Thank you all for joining me here in our little part of wonderland. Please don’t forget to feed the unicorns on your way out.
Hello, my fellow wonderlandians. I wish I had some better news to bring to you. As the title of this blog post states my 24hr read-a-thon was a huge fail! I started two hours late. My boyfriend’s niece was having her 8th birthday and I couldn’t miss that for the world. So when I got out of work I was going to start the read-a-thon but I got the news and I went over there instead. No regrets! This 8 year knew how to throw a party or at least her parents did. It was unicorn heaven. They were everywhere. Daenerys Targaryen can have her dragons. I am the self-proclaimed mother of unicorns. Also, can I just say that I am also the self-proclaimed Queen of the Sea and Mistress of the underworld. What it is 2017 and this girl is ambitious. No, but really I have had a fascination with mermaids since I saw The Little Mermaid. My obsession with the underworld comes from watching way too much Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and Charmed. I swear I didn’t have a normal childhood growing up, but when you have an Uncle who loves Buffy and mother who loves Charmed. I am not complaining by any means. I loved my childhood. Anywhozeles, back to my point unicorns everywhere. I was in heaven. Then I got into a discussion with a 6-year-old over if mermaids were in fact real. I say they were and she was adamant that they were not. Since no one has ever seen one my point stands. Real until proven not. That is my motto.
Alright alright. You want to know how my read-a-thon was a fail. I have really read nothing in the last 24 hours. I think at most I have listened to about 10 minutes of my audiobook. Now I am not adding the two novellas I read on Saturday. This was before my official read-a-thon started. So to me, it doesn’t count. I read or listened to a lot over books over the last week so maybe I am a bit burnt out. Also, in the last week, I got rid of one blog and have started over with this new one so I have been putting a lot of time and energy into this new project. Which I am loving! I really need to learn how to balance the two or well I guess three. I have gotten back to posting to on my YouTube channel too.
To conclude, listening to 10 minutes of an audiobook to me really is not cutting it since last weekend I was able to crank out listening to 4 audiobooks. Next time I will have to carve out more time and be better prepared, and make sure nothing is going on that weekend!
Alright, wonderlandians. Thank you for coming back to our wonderland. Don’t forget to feed the unicorns on your way out. They grant wishes. I hope you all had a great weekend. Have a great and productive week.
Hello, wonderlandians. Happy Saturday! I hope your’s is going good. I will be spending most of my Saturday work. In truth though I have to say working a Saturday is not bad. I actually love working Saturdays. As weird as that sounds. The atmosphere at my work is insanely different from the work week. Its like yea we are at work but it is the weekend so we are going to rock out the day and make it the best day of the week ever. Also, the day goes by so quick.
You guys didn’t come to read about my work day. Although, it is really exciting. No you are here to read about the read-a-thon I am doing. The is a lovely BookTuber by the name of ReadByZoe or on Twitter she is know by her name zoeherdt. She started these 24 hour read-a-thons a couple of months back and probably had done about three of them. I have missed all of them. This one that is happening today on Saturday, Dec. 9th. I just happen to be working. So I will not be able to participate until after my work day. Which has me a little upset. This is not going to stop me from doing it though. I have modified the read-a-thon so I can take full advantage of the 24 hours.
I get out of work at 5pm. I figure if I start my time at 6pm on Saturday night and run it until 6pm Sunday night I get my full 24 hours. This leaves me with 6 hours of the actual read-a-thon left.
Ok so this is all I have for you. I will be blogging about my experience tomorrow after it is done. Actually, now that I think about it I might just write some notes as I am going about it. I will also be vlogging my experience with the read-a-thon.
As always thank you for joining me in our small part of wonderland. Sadly, the unicorns are sleeping today as it is Saturday. Maybe just maybe if you go to them with treats they will grant you a wish.
