I am in love with this covering all of the artwork that is in this book. All the artwork that’s in this book looks like it is done through digital art. So it is very clean.

The Dog Ate My Homework: and other poems for children

The Dog Ate My Homework by Aaron James is a collection of short poems that will capture your imagination. Filled with fun stories that make you think, laugh and tell your friends. Do you remember your first day at school? Or when you tried to convince your teacher you actually done your homework? Or the excitement you felt when you bought your new pair of trainers? In The Dog Ate My Homework you will get a chance to read all these stories and many more!

I honestly feel like this year I have been reading a lot more children’s books. I am loving everyone that I am. When reading this book I felt like I was learning something. Every poem that is in this book has a great positive message that I think a lot of little kids will be inspired by. I believe there are four poems in this book. I know for a fact that this is a book that I want to give to my boyfriend’s little sister. She is 6 years old and this is something that she would absolutely gobble up. I think a lot of the lessons that can be learned from this book or how to be positive, accepting, and uplifting. I know a lot of children’s books nowadays have these messages. This one I feel can be very inclusive to not only children but two teens adults. I honestly felt myself connecting so hard to this book and it reminded me that I need to be more positive in my life accepting of other people and all around just uplifting the people in my life to do the best that they can possibly do. I am going to be 27 this year and I have to do a lot of reminding to myself that I can very quickly get into a very negative space because of my mental illness. So this is going to be a great book to come back to when I need a good reminder.

I would highly recommend this book to anybody and everybody who loves reading. And if you don’t love reading I would still suggest this book so much.
