Hello, wonderlandians. Its…

Tuesday! I was looking for an awesome tag to do for you guys today and I found one over on Books and Munches blog. What are your plans for this Tuesday? Work? School? Or are you just going to lounge around and read today. If that is the case them I am so jealous of you.

THE QUESTIONS

How many books do you usually read at once?
I am usually in the middle of at least two different books. I have to be listening to an audiobook and reading some kind of eBook. This way I have a book for every possible situation. I am all currently in the middle of one physical book.

If you are reading more than one book at a time, how do you decide when to switch books?
I usually tend to read one book for a few hours and then get bored and want to read something else. This is how I end up reading five books at one time.

Do you ever switch bookmarks while you are partway through a book?
No, I tend to use the same book mark.

Where do you keep the book(s) you are currently reading?

Hearts at Stake (Drake Chronicles, Book 1

Sinner’s Twisted Lust Book 2

Sinner's Twisted Lust (The Vipers MC) by [LUST, APRIL]

The Golden Lily

Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, Book 1) by [James, E L]

What time of day do you spend the most time reading?
I tend to read the most at night after I get home from work but if it is the weekend I am reading the whole day.

How long do you typically read in one setting?
4 to 6 hours. It depends on if I have food and a drink next to me.

Do you read hardbacks with the dust jacket on or off?
Off. It is irritating when it is on.

What position do you mainly use to read?

View image on Twitter

5,6,10 and 11. When reading in a chair it is so hard to find a good way to read.

Do you take the book you are currently reading with you everywhere?
Yes all the book I read are on my phone. Either on my kindle app or in my audible app. For every physical book I own its counter part either in eBook or audiobook format. This way I am never without the book that I am currently reading. People have said to me that this is a waste of money.

Here is what I have to say to that.

Image result for Throwing money gif

In all seriousness it is my money and I do run this blog to review books so I don’t feel like it is a waste. Don’t know that is my thoughts on that.

How often do you update your Goodreads progress on the book you’re currently reading?
Twice or Three times a week. I am just now really getting into Goodreads. I have been a member for the last 8 years but never really used it like I do now. I think I start blogging it has become a bit of a necessity.

Thank you all for joining me here in our little part of wonderland. Please don’t forget to feed the unicorns on your way.

Publication date: February 8th 2018
Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Romance

A DARK LEGACY where only the strong survive and those who are Goddess touched can complete the warriors who fight to protect the world from the creatures that go bump in the night.

DARK EMBRACE

Jennaveve, the Fey chosen by the Goddess to be the queen of her people for the past few millennium, is tired and wishes for a break, but hadn’t counted on being reduced to almost mortal thanks to a dark stranger. They say you should be careful what you wish for. The last time she’d taken a break, her Fey had left their realm, resulting in shifters on Earth known as the Mystic and Iron Wolves and even more she was still searching for.

Damien and Lucas Cordell knew they’d share a Hearts Love when the time came. As the twin sons of the Vampire King who’d mated a shifter, they were the first of their kind. When they’d thought their mate was finally within their reach and was a shifter like their mother only to realize she wasn’t theirs, they’d almost lost their lives to the alpha of the Iron Wolves, Kellen Styles. Instead, the error led them to the being that was…the Fey Queen Jennaveve. Only she was even more elusive than the wind.

Time and patience was something Damien and Lucas had in spades, until the female they’d already laid claim to, even if she hadn’t accepted them yet, was taken by an enemy. Saving Jenna became their one and only focus. As time and realms slip between them, their fear for her had them forgetting about patience and made claiming Jenna as their Hearts Love, hoping she accepted their Dark Embrace.

Will the Cordell Twins be able to rescue Jenna from the evil who has taken her? Will Jenna get her powers back? Who is the dark presence and how will they defeat a being who is strong enough to bring the Fey Queen down to her knees?

Monday Madness – 24 in 48 Hour Read

Hello, wonderlandians. Okay first off I just want to say that I am so sorry that there was not a post yesterday. My goal is to have a post-op for you every single day if not multiple. As you guys know I did the  24in 48-hour readathon. I have to say that it was a lot of fun and I did get about 6 hours and 44 minutes of reading. Now, this was all self-sabotage. I was going to stay up until 12am and read as much as I could before I fall asleep. Unfortunately, that didn’t end up happening and I ended up falling asleep before the time started and I slept until 11am the next day. so I already got 11 hours of sleep. I needed to wake up and unfortunately, I got sucked into Sabrina and the next thing I knew it was 4 in the afternoon and I hadn’t read a single book. I did, however, get to Red and done with it so I’m really happy about that got my book count out to 17 books this month alone.

I know for a fact that they’re going to be a lot more readathons this coming month and I’m signing up for a few of them. They are week-long readathon so I will have a lot more time to read in that week. I do have a couple of questions for you guys. I will be blogging my whole experience while doing the readathons that are coming up. Here is the question. Do you guys have an Instagram? if you do do you guys usually watch people’s insta stories? do you prefer Instagram or SnapChat? if I were to post a vlog to accompany the blog would you guys watch it? Because I did log the entire experience and I don’t know if that’s something that you guys would be interested in watching. I could always just link to the video itself and if you want to go watch it you can. I did keep an up-to-date on my Instagram on the stories and a few people watched it but I am interested in if you guys like Instagram insta stories.

So how the read-a-thon went the first day went okay I got two bucks done so I’m very happy with that accomplishment. I did get sidetracked by Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Sunday I went over to my boyfriend’s mom’s house because I was turning in some money for candy I was selling for my boyfriend’s brother. I ended up spending about 6 hours over there just hanging out and having fun with them. so my reading I only got maybe 2 hours of reading done that day but I didn’t time it. I have no regrets I love going over there and hang out with everybody. I was learning how to do cat’s cradle again.

so to conclude all of this I need to be way more hyperfocus when it comes to my redo fans. I need to set specific days to just sit down and read.

Until next time

Much love

Book Review – Arrow’s Hell

Hello, wonderlandians. Today I have a book review for you.

Let’s talk about the cover.

Arrow's Hell (Wind Dragons MC, #2)

I really enjoy this cover I really like that you can see the tattoo and all of its glory. They talk about the tattoo a lot in the book when they’re describing Arrows body. Now I’m a tattoo person myself I’ve got four and I’m about to get my fifth one in a couple of months so that should take care of my half sleeve. I really like how the cover really does focus on his tattoo and it’s all shaded in Black. It really makes the yellow of the title pop.

Review

Now what I have to say about the actual book itself is while I did really enjoy the book. The narrators were amazing fantastic two of my favourite narrators of all times. a Sebastian York is just incredible and is my second favourite narrator of all time. Sadly he only read about one chapter out of the entire book. The girl did an amazing job. This book did jump 5 years in the future. Well, I don’t mind books kind of jumping to the Future it works but it doesn’t work. The events that have changed they’re oh so much is because of his girlfriend who died in the previous book Mary. It’s still haunted him 5 years later and while I can understand the fact that it does hunt Arrow I feel like there should have been more growth in 5 years. Now, this could just make me cold hearted but I feel like she was too much in this book. Now we have our new girl Anna who is a lot like Faye in a way she’s badass and doesn’t take s*** from anybody. She really had to fight her way into arrows heart which I feel like Faye had two in the last book.

That’s one thing that I think that the author got right about this book is making sure that our main girl was not too far away from the girl in the previous book. Yes their personalities are a lot different but there are enough similarities to where you don’t necessarily feel like you’re reading the same character because you’re not and that’s not what I’m saying you feel like you’re in the same universe and the author didn’t just throw you for a loop and make the girl a complete opposite from the first girl. I feel like a lot of authors when they go into writing books in the same universe and each book is told about a different character each character is so unlike the first one you’re kind of thrown for a loop or at least I know that’s how I feel. Because once we get to the third book in the series which I will have a review on your a lot more comfortable in the world so even if the character is completely different from the first two it’s a nice break. So Anna did have a lot of attributes of Faye that I really did like shouldn’t take crap from anybody and knew new how to be Scrappy. There was one thing that I really did like about Anna she ends up being rakes sister so it was really cute when Anna was kind of jealous of Faye because she felt Rake and Faye were closer than Rake and herself.

Now I don’t want to give too much away or too many spoilers because if y’all haven’t read Dragon’s Lair which is the first book in the series then you will be spoiled. yes it all ends very nicely. I would have to say that this is my 4th favorite out of the four books that I’ve read so far. definite read on Goodreads I gave it a 4 out of 5. The narrator’s were fantastic the writing was incredible. I just felt that Arrow beat himself too much over what happened with Mary because it wasn’t his fault. It took him way too long to come to that decision that it wasn’t his fault. But Anna and arrow are one of my favorite couples out of the whole series.

Thank you all for joining me in our little part of wonerland. Don’t forget to feed the unicorns on your way.

Until next time

Cover Reveal – Just Say (Hell) No

Hello, wonderlandians. It is Friday. Today I have a cover reveal for you all. Thanks to Xpresso Tours.

Just Say (Hell) No
Rosalind James
(Escape to New Zealand, #11)
Publication date: February 14th 2018
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Even a hard man needs a soft side.

Marko Sendoa isn’t a beach man. He’s not an Auckland man. He’s a hard man. Born Basque, raised in the heart of New Zealand’s Southern Alps, and bred on hard work, discipline, and getting the job done. It’s not easy for a rugby flanker to make it to age 32 at the top of his game, but he’s done it. Next year is the Rugby World Cup, and he’ll do whatever it takes to be on the field in the black jersey when the anthems are sung.

He doesn’t need a kitten.

He doesn’t need a pregnant cousin.

He definitely doesn’t need a too-short, distractingly curvy, totally unimpressed Maori barista and part-time pet portraitist who fills his house and his life with too much color, too much chaos, and too many secrets.

He’s getting them anyway.

Author Bio:

Rosalind James writes contemporary romance and romantic suspense published both by Montlake Romance and independently. Her stories are set in New Zealand, Idaho, California, New York . . . really, anyplace that seems cool. (Research trips, especially those involving lots of rugby, are a bonus.) Her books are available in ebook, paperback, and audio formats. Rosalind is a former marketing executive who spent several years in Australia and New Zealand, where she fell in love with the people, the landscape, and the culture of both countries. She attributes her rapid success to the fact that “Lots of people would like to escape to New Zealand! I know I did!”
